Abstract:In order to gain a detailed understanding of geochemical characteristics of surface soil nutrients in the northern region of Laiyang city, Organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and other nutrient element contents have been analyzed in 6,698 surface soil samples, and geochemical single-indicator and nutrient have been evaluated comprehensively. It is showed that the overall alkaline hydrolyzed nitrogen is in a rich to relatively rich state. Phosphorus, potassium and available potassium are generally in a relatively rich to moderate state. The overall available phosphorus is in a moderate state. The overall nitrogen element is in a relatively deficient state. Organic matter is generally lacking. The overall comprehensive status of soil nutrients in the evaluation area is moderate. The rich and relatively rich areas are 2.53km2 and 208.58km2, respectively, accounting for 0.24% and 19.87% of the total area of the evaluation area. The soil area with moderate nutrients is 532.87km2, accounting for 50.77% of the evaluation area. The soil area with relatively low nutrients is 297.41km2, accounting for 28.34% of the evaluation area. The soil area with nutrient deficiency is very small with 8.18km2. This research work can provide scientific geological data support for land use planning and agricultural economic development in the northern region of Laiyang city.
