Abstract:The research on the multifunctionality of cultivated land is of great significance to the protection and sustainable utilization of cultivated land. Taking Ji'nan city as a research area, a gridscale multifunctional evaluation method system of cultivated land has been constructed, the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of multifunctionality of cultivated land in Ji'nan city from 2013 to 2023 has been systematically analyzed, and the zoning has been optimized. It is showed that spatial distribution of various functions and multifunctionality of cultivated land in Ji'nan city is similar from 2013 to 2023, and spatial distribution pattern is high in the north and low in the south. During the study period, the multifunctionality of cultivated land in Ji'nan will decrease first and then increase. In terms of specific functions, except for habitat maintenance function, other functions show a trend of weakening first and then strengthening, while habitat maintenance function shows a trend of strengthening first and then weakening. The protection of multifunctionality of cultivated land in Ji'nan city should start from the perspective of the "trinity" of quantity, quality and ecology, and formulate protection and development policies according to different functional areas of cultivated land.
