Abstract:In order to investigate spatial distribution of soil nutrients and fertility condition of cultivated land in Wanbei plain aera, taking Suixi county as the study area, 345 cultivated soil samples have been collected, and the contents of pH, organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total potassium, available nitrogen, available phosphorus, and available potassium have been determined. By using statistical analysis and GIS spatial analysis methods, the characteristics of soil nutrient content have been systematically revealled, and comprehensive fertility has been evaluated. It is showed that except for strong variability of available phosphorus and available potassium, the coefficients of variation of other indicators (pH, organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total potassium and alkaline nitrogen) are relatively low, and spatial distribution is relatively uniform. The soil is rich in alkali hydrolyzed nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium, with moderate levels of organic matter and total nitrogen, while total potassium is relatively lack. The comprehensive fertility index of cultivated land soil in the whole region ranges from 2.16 to 4.41, mainly classified as secondclass and third class, and is generally at a medium to high level. The fertility of moist soil is significantly higher than that of Shajiang black soil, showing a spatial differentiation characteristics of low in the south and high in the north as a whole. It is suggested that the fertilization ratios of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers appropriately in the southern part of the research area should be adjusted to improve the overall fertility level of farmland soil in the region.
