Abstract:In order to enhance comprehensive utilization of geothermal resources in Jieshishan mountain area, clarify geological conditions and distribution characteristics of geothermal resources, taking Jieshishan mountain geothermal block as the research object, stratigraphic lithology, structural patterns, reservoir characteristics and thermal field distribution have been systematically analyzed, conceptual model of thermal storage has been constructed, and geothermal resources and recoverable geothermal resources of Neogene Guantao formation and Paleogene Dongying formation thermal reservoirs have been calculated. It is indicated that there are abundant geothermal resources within these reservoirs, and geothermal sources, transportation channels, storage space and cap rocks of geothermal reservoirs are complete. By using thermal reservoir method, total stored geothermal resources have been calculated, which amount to 2.599×1016 J (equivalent to 8.88×105 tons of standard coal), the utilisable geothermal resources amount to 6.496×1015 J (equivalent to 2.22×105 tons of standard coal). The annual recoverable geothermal water resource is 7.239×105 m3/a. The findings of this resource assessment will provide crucial theoretical basis for systematic evaluation of geothermal resources in Jieshishan mountain area, scientific formulation of geothermal resource development and utilisation plans, and the promotion of efficient resource exploitation.
