Abstract:Qibaoshan polymetallic mining area in Wulian county in Shandong province is a large scale mining area that integrates endogenous deposits, such as gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc and pyrite. It is a medium low temperature subvolcanic hydrothermal cryptodome breccia deposit. The exploration and research have a significant industrial and scientific value. Based on detailed petrography and mineralogy observations, samples from different cryptodome breccia types in Qibaoshan polymetallic mining area have been analyzed. It is indicated that the diagenetic and metallogenic evolution in this area can be divided into six stages: pyritequartz stage, chalcopyritecupritechalcopyritepyritequartz stage, specularite±(pyrite)±(chalcopyrite)quartzcarbonate stage, chalcopyritepyritegalenasphaleritequartz stage, chalcopyritepyritequartz stage and late carbonate stage. As showed by situ trace element analysis of chalcopyrite, the content of Se in chalcopyrite in Jinxiantou mining area is higher than that in Yaotou mining area, while the contents of Ag, Pb, and Bi are lower. The formation temperatures of Jinxiantou mining area and Yaotou mining areas are lower than that in Hongshigang ore section, while the gold enrichment in Hongshihang mining area and Yaotou mining areas is higher than that in Jinxiantou mining area.
