Abstract:Lead zinc deposits in Shandong province are mainly small and medium sized hydrothermal vein type. Several lead zinc polymetallic deposits/occurrences have been newly discovered in southwestern Jiaolai basin. Comprehensive geological-geophysical studies have been carried out in this area. The study area is located in the "two belts and three blocks" zone where Yishu fault zone intersects Wulian fault zone. Sibaoshan volcanic structures have been developed. Tianjiayu lead-zinc deposit is a typical newly discovered deposit. The Ⅳ-1 main ore body occur along the northwest torsional fault with a true thickness in the northwestern section of 1.55~1.67m. The grade of lead is 0.57%~6.56%. The scattered element Ga has reached the criteria for associⅣated mineralization, extending stably toward the deeper and southeastern directions, with a significant trend of intensifying mineralization. Electrical difference between the ores and the surrounding rocks is obvious, and the ore belt exhibits high-resistance and high-polarization anomalies. Three abnormal induced polarization have been circled by using Induced polarization measurements. The largest one is DJH1, which is caused by No. Ⅳ ore belt. The study area shares similar metallogenic geological conditions with the adjacent Qibaoshan polymetallic deposit, and both are located within localized positive magnetic anomalies in the background of gravity anomaly gradient zones and weak negative magnetic anomalies. Fengtai copper-gold deposit and Mujiagou and Houhuangshan Lead-zinc barite deposits form a continental volcanic hydrothermal metallogenic series. The research area has good prospecting prospects in filling the gaps in the mineralization series, exploring and evaluating main ore body system, comprehensive evaluation of associated minerals, and verification and interpretation of induced polarization anomalies.
