Abstract:As a typical alpine valley area, Lushui city has very limited land resources. As showed by varous problems of land use, contradiction between ecological space, agricultural space and urban space in Lushui city is increasingly serious. Aiming at the existing problems, optimization plan of land space in Lushui city has been put forward through a comparative analysis of present condition of territorial space and the suitability evaluation of territorial space development. It is showed that there are five types of land space optimization areas in Lushui city, they are urgent adjustment of agricultural production mode, key prevention area of agricultural space ecological problems, key prevention area of urban space ecological problems, potential expansion area of urban space and potential abandoned farmland area. The land space optimization areas is mainly based on the adjustment of agricultural production mode, which is mainly distributed in Liuku town, Shangjiang town, Chenggan town and Gudeng town. The agricultural space and ecological space can be optimized at the same time by the project of returning farmland to forest, and potential abandoned farmland area is mainly distributed in Chenggan town and Gudeng town. When developing and constructing land in ecologically important areas, some countermeasures should be taken to prevent damage to ecological environment. The key prevention areas of agricultural spatial ecological problems are mainly distributed in Shangjiang town, Pingma town and Luzhang town, while key prevention areas of urban spatial ecological problems are only distributed in Pingma town. The potential expansion area of urban space is mainly in Liuku town.
