Abstract:In order to accurately classify the element association types and delineate the element anomalies in stream sediment measurements with the scale of 1∶50000 in Wanti—Liugezhuang area in Jiaodong area, by using R type factor analysis and cluster analysis, 13 elements in the study area can be divided into 5 combination types, they are Au, AgSn, Hg, CuNiAsSb and BiWMoPbZn. It is showed that the results of factor analysis and cluster analysis can correspond well. The type of element symbiosis association in the study area can be determined effectively. It will provide an accurate basis for the delineation of combinational anomalies. Through verification, the combination of anomalies corresponds well with geological and mineralogical characteristics. 3 new copper mineralization points and 1 lead zinc deposit points have been found. It will point out the direction for next exploration work.
