Abstract:Under the guidance of the new round of breakthrough strategic actions in mineral exploration, small-diameter rope core drilling technology is constantly innovating and developing towards "deep, inclined, and difficult" aspects. In terms of "inclination", directional drilling technology remains an important technical challenge. Accompanying with gradual deepening of research on trajectory control technology for small-diameter rope coring drilling by different scientific research units and drilling construction teams in recent years, various methods for deviation and correction of drilling trajectories have also been tested and implemented in different types of drilling, but the quality and effectiveness of correction vary. In this paper, taking the construction of 9 directional boreholes in Lanling iron deposit in Xiaozhaizi-Gulin section as the research object, by studying the trajectory control technology of small-diameter rope coring drilling in strong inclined strata, different drilling trajectory control technology methods have been compared and analyzed. A comprehensive drilling trajectory control technology system specifically designed for strong inclined strata has been summarized.
