Abstract:Geological hazards in Shutang village in Linyi city in Shandong province are caused by the development of spherical weathering in granite into hazardous rock masses. The geological problems at the hazard points are complex, and the ecological environment is severe. Through analyzing the environmental governance situation of Shutang village, combining with the integrated management concept of mountains, waters, forests, fields, lakes, grasses and sands in Yimeng mountain, geological hazards can be eliminated and the goal of green ecological restoration can be achieved. In addition, taking into account special characteristics of the scenic area and local customs and requirements of the villagers, comprehensive ecological restoration and management methods, such as reinforcement, removal, and construction of dry stone walls, fish scale pits, external soil procurement, construction of terraces, planting of wall climbing tigers, and chestnut trees are adopted. It has maintained the original scenic landscape and increased nearly 1km2 terraced fields for local use. After the implementation of the project, it will not only eliminate geological hazards and restore the greenery of the mountains, but also create a livable environment in local area, increas economic income of villagers, receive unanimous praise from the government and the people, and achieve good social and economic benefits.
