Abstract:Based on 653 historical abandoned mine plots recognized by the Ministry of Natural Resources in Rizhao city, regional distribution of historical abandoned mines, mineral species, present condition of land use and the superposition of "three zones and three lines" , and ecological environment problems of mines left over from history have been analyzed. On the basis of summarizing the achievements of ecological restoration in mines in the early stage, problems that need to be improved in the integrated protection and restoration of mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes, grasslands, and sand in the ecological restoration work of mines, funding constraints bottlenecks, single governance model, and ecological restoration standards which are need to be improved have been analyzed. Based on present situation of historical legacy mines, it is proposed that the integrated protection and restoration of mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes, grasslands, and sand should be overall planned, planning guidance should be adhered, funding channels should be expanded, local standard system for ecological restoration of mines should be improved, a "full chain" dynamic supervision mechanism should be established, and project completion acceptance should be carried out. It will provide a basis for effectively improving the effectiveness of the management of historical mines in Rizhao city.
