Abstract:There are abundant resources of Maifanshi resource in Mengyin county in Shandong province, especially along the northern foothills of Mengshan mountain. In this paper, basic situation of the utilization of Maifanshi resources from ancient to modern times has been illustrated, geological condition of Longfengyu area in Mengyin county has been introduced, chemical composition, dissolution and adsorption characteristics of Maifanshi minerals under specific testing conditions have been studied, the characteristics of Zhonghua Maifanshi and Zouping Maifanshi have been compared, and present condition of development and utilization of Maifanshi in Mengyin county, as well as the problems and solutions it faces have been pointed out. It is showned that Maifanshi in Longfengyu area of Mengyin county occurs in giant hornblende quartz monzonite porphyry of Songshan unit in Cangshan sequence, with obvious dissolution adsorption characteristics. The content of metasilicic acid (H2SiO3) dissolved exceeds the limit index requirements. It has a strong adsorption effect on conventional harmful elements. It has obvious common characteristics with Zouping and Zhonghua Maifanshi. The research results will further consolidate the basic conditions for formulating the local standard system of Shandong Maifanshi. It will provide some references for breaking through the constraints on the utilization of Shandong Maifanshi.
