Abstract:By using satellite remote sensing images, combining with geological surveying data with the scale of 1:50000, through field investigation and verification, the remote sensing interpretation marks of sandstone resources in Shandong province have been established from the aspects of spectral characteristics (hue), shadow characteristics (shadow), morphological characteristics (landform), water system and vegetation. The lithology groups of 9 types of ore-bearing horizons have been interpreted by using visual interpretation and manual interactive interpretation. The distribution of ore-bearing strata or lithological groups with development prospects has been roughly identified. Through field verification and on-site correction work, a total of 965 remote sensing interpretation blocks of 9 types of minerals in 60 key survey areas have been completed with a total area of 2050.79km2. It will provide technical support for specialized geological work in the field. It also will provide a relatively fast and accurate method for setting up blocks of sand, gravel and soil mining rights. It has good application prospects in planning, development and management of mineral resources.
