Abstract:The evaluation and zoning of geological relics are the foundation for scientific protection and rational development of geological relic resources. It has great significance for the protection, zoning, and scientific development of geological relics. By useing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), geological relics are classified and graded. The idea of variable weight has been innovatively introduced to address the disadvantage of inconvenient weight values of each indicator in different evaluation units. A geological relic evaluation system has been established based on variable weight theory. Taking Lingshan Island in Qingdao city as the research object, 30 geological relics that have been discovered have been evaluated. Through comparative qualitative evaluation, fixed weight evaluation results and variable weight correction results, it is showed that variable weight evaluation model can overcome the adverse effects caused by internal differences in indicators in some extent with better dispersion of evaluation values. It is conducive to grade classification, and the evaluation results are more in line with actual characteristics of Lingshan Island.
