Abstract:The mountainous area in northern Pingdu city is located in the southwest of Jiaodong uplift and the northwest of the western Jiaolai basin. It is a hydrogeological area dominated by loose rocks, clastic rocks and metamorphic rocks in the low hills in Ludong area, Jiaolai basin and the low mountains and hills of northern Jiaolai basin. Hydrogeological survey with the scale of 1∶50000 has carried out, and meteorological and hydrogeological conditions, stratigraphic structures and hydrogeological conditions in the study area have been analyzed by means of geophysical prospecting, hydrogeological drilling and pumping tests. Four types of groundwater have been classified, which are pore water of loose rock, pore water of clastic rock, pore water of carbonate rock and pore water of bedrock. Based on the study of groundwater enrichment law from the aspects of topography, structure, aquifer lithology, recharge and drainage conditions, a new fissurewaterrich section of bedrockfissurewaterrich section of Dongliuquan area has been discovered. It can be used as a small water source for urban emergency water supply. Two types of water storage structures in the study area have been summarized, which are fracture zone type and lithologic contact zone type respectively. Based on the analysis of groundwater enrichment law and the characteristics and occurrence of recharge discharge of groundwater in different water storage structure types in the study area, the groundwater exploitation conditions have been summarized. It has a good guiding significance for water search and well drilling in the mountainous area in northern Pingdu city.
