Abstract:Karst collapse has occurred many times in Xizou town in Qufu City since 1993, which has caused a great impact to local economic development. Based on full analysis of geological and hydrogeological conditions in the study area, combining with the field survey, geophysical exploration, hydrogeological drilling and other data, the distribution law and causes of karst collapse in the study area have been deeply analyzed, and prevention measures have been proposed. It is found that most of the karst collapses occurred in the flood season (August—September). They are mainly affected by shortterm heavy rainfall, with the characteristics of concentration and sudden in time. In space, it is mainly controlled by geological structures and groundwater runoff, mainly distributed near the fault zone and on main groundwater runoff zone. The change of groundwater dynamic conditions caused by rainfall is the main factor inducing karst collapse.
