Abstract:The topsoil samples are collected in the northern farming area in Linshu county in Shandong province, and pH, organic matter, total amount and available nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium of soil have been measured to characterize the soil fertility. The comprehensive evaluation values of soil nutrients of all samples are calculated by factor analysis and cluster analysis, and the soil fertility is evaluated by grading. It is showed that the soil acidification in the north of Linshu county is serious, the contents of organic matter, total nitrogen and available potassium are low, and the contents of total potassium, total phosphorus, alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen and available phosphorus are relatively rich. Factor analysis shows that TN, OM, AK, AP, TP and pH are main factors affecting comprehensive status of soil nutrients in the north of Linshu county. The soil fertility level in the north of Linshu county is low. The comprehensive evaluation value of soil nutrients (IFI) is as follows: Zhengshan Street>Qingyun Town>Yushan Town>Linshu Street>Jiaolong Town.
