Abstract:The statistics of mineral resources reserves is an administrative act of the state to make statistics on the mineral resources reserves on an annual basis, which plays an important role in mastering the national mineral resources. Based on the current situation of policy documents, institutions and personnel, contents and requirements under the current reserves statistics management system, main problems in the current reserves statistics management have been summarized and analyzed in this paper, mainly including inadequate institutional guarantee for covering the nonimportant mineral resources overlayed by construction projects into statistics, insufficient connection with dynamic management of mine reserves, low quality of data in the statistical base, insufficient personnel team construction, and insufficient information support. In order to improve the management of reserves statistics, five targeted policy suggestions has been further pointed out, including improving the system to supplement the channels for covering the nonimportant mineral resources overlayed by construction projects into statistics, optimizing the connection with dynamic management of mine reserves to better meet the needs of reserve statistics, taking multiple measures to clean up the database and gradually improve the data quality in the database, strengthening the construction of personnel related to reserves statistics to improve the implementation of the system, and reconstructing the database management system to strengthen the information technology support.
