Abstract:Accompanying with continuous increase of urban construction, the development of underground space is getting deeper. Accompanying with the deeper excavation of the foundation pits, the city expansion will inevitably affect the recharge, runoff and discharge conditions of the groundwater. The change of hydrogeological conditions will in turn affect and restrict the activities of human beings, and even cause in engineering safety problems. Taking a construction project in Ji'nan city as an example. Due to the influences of underground engineering excavation, atmospheric precipitation, and spring protection policy, the excavation of underground structures blocked the only discharge channel, the groundwater seepage field around the construction project changed, resulting in a sharp rise in the groundwater level around the project area, of which exceeded the anti floating water level designed in the early stage, and damaged the underground structures. It will provide some references for site selection of similar construction projects and the excavation of underground space near the study area.
