Abstract:The Central Luzhong uplift area is located in the west of Yishu fault zone. Magmatic rocks related to rare earth mineralization and fault structures developed well in the area. There are many radioactive anomalies and geochemical anomalies, such as La and Y, and heavy sand anomalies, such as monazite and thorium. They all have good geological conditions for rare earth mineralization. 6 rare earth deposits (points) and 10 mineralization points have been found in the area with great prospecting potential. The metallogenic type of rare earth deposits in the area is magmatic hydrothermal type, and typical rare earth deposit is Xishan rare earth deposit. Some mineralization points are pegmatite type and alluvialdiluvial type. The mineralization period is mainly cretaceous of Mesozoic, and some mineralization points are Neoarchean, middle Ordovician and Quaternary. The main controlling factors of endogenous rare earth deposits in the area are magmatic rocks and tectonics related to the origin of rare earth deposits. The magmatic rocks related to ree genesis are mainly Xishan, Shagou, Guandiiiao, Luye, Yaoguan, Cuijiagou, Dongmashan unit and Paleozoic Changmazhuang unit in Mesozoic. In this paper, metallogenic regularity of rare earth deposits in the area has been summarized, and three metallogenic potential areas and 11 prospecting target areas have been divided. The prospecting direction and working methods in the area in the future have been analyzed in order to achieve a new breakthrough in rare earth ore formation.
