Abstract:Mineral resources are an important pillar of China's social and economic development. However, abandoned mines have brought serious problems such as occupying cultivated land, destroying ecology, polluting the environment and causing hidden dangers of geological safety. These problems violate the concept of green mines and restrict economic and social development. Therefore, the green ecological restoration and management of abandoned mines is particularly important. This paper takes an abandoned mine in Muping District of Yantai city as an example. In the historical mining process of the study area, the geomorphic landscape was destroyed, soil erosion was serious, the function of land resources was lost, and the slope of mining pit was steep, and local rock mass was broken. This paper introduces the problems of geological environment in this area and analyzes the reasons for the destruction of the geological environment of the mine in this region, to restore farmland, grassland, woodland for the purpose analyzes the status quo of the mining pit, residual mound and material yard in the region, and puts forward the corresponding restoration scheme for each failure unit: blasting the residual mound, backfilling the mining pit, and backfilling the slope and site leveling. In order to provide important scientific basis for mine geological environment protection and ecological restoration, it is necessary to establish correct restoration concept from the scientific perspective and implement three core mining restoration technologies, namely geomorphic reconstruction, soil reconstruction and vegetation restoration.
