Abstract:Xiadian gold deposit is a typical altered rock type gold deposit in the northwest of Jiaozhou area. Gold mineralization is mainly controlled by Zhaoping fault zone. In this paper, field geological survey, threedimensional geological modeling and structural spatial analysis of Xiadian gold deposit have been carried out in order to clarify the mineralization distribution law and prove the structural ore control role from threedimensional space and exploration data. It is showed that the mineralization of Xiadian gold deposit is altered rock type and sulfide vein type, which is mainly controlled by Zhaoping fault zone and its secondary structures, and presents the characteristics of uneven distribution in space. There are spatial differences in the regularity of lateral mineralization of Xiadian gold deposit. In the southern part, it is lateral with the trend of NE. In the central part, it is not obvious but has obvious branching and compounding characteristics. In the northern part, it is lateral with the trend of SE. This lateral subduction law is closely related to the turning of main fracture surface of Zhaoping fault zone in the strike direction. It is showed that the altered rock type and sulfide vein type deposits of Xiadian gold deposit occur within the range of 150~250m from the fault plane, respectively, and are closely related to the dip and fluctuation of the fault plane. It is suggested that different types of ore bodies in Xiadian area are actually the result of structural deformation differences in different spatial ranges. Therefore, the ore prospecting should pay attention to the occurrence change of main fracture surface of Zhaoping fault zone.
