Abstract:Gold mineralization formed in the Mesozoic era is widely distributed in three different tectonic units in Shandong province, including Luxi block, Jiaobei block and Jiaonan Weihai orogenic belt. Jiaodong area, which covers Jiaobei block and Jiaonan Weihai orogenic belt has become a typical representative of gold mineralization in eastern China and a key area for the study and correlation of metallogenic mechanism and metallogenic process. Based on the summary of the temporal and spatial law of Mesozoic gold mineralization in Shandong province and the understanding progress of deep crustal structure exploration in Jiaodong area, it is put forward that the Mesozoic endogenous gold deposits with different metallogenic models formed in Jiaobei block, Luxi block and Jiaonan Weihai orogenic belt are differential display of different metallogenic systems related to magmatism in different environment and in different periods. Through the comparison of metallogenic models in different tectonic units, combining with the existing research progress of metallogenic theory and the characteristics of crustal structure of Jiaobei block, it is preliminarily proposed that there is a gold metallogenic process characterized by lithospheric rupture in the destruction process of North China Craton. The metallogenic process is based on the coupling of tectonic system, magmatic system and metallogenic fluid system, which constitutes a metallogenic system with its own characteristics. Therefore, the identification of metallogenic system and the characterization of different constituent elements are the restoration of metallogenic process, and the elaboration of metallogenic mechanism is a necessary means. Based on the above understanding, there aer still some problems need to be clarified and solved in further research.
