Abstract:Diopside ore-forming belt in Pingdu—Laixi area is from Changle town in Pingdu city to Nanshu town in Laixi city from west to east. The total length is about 50km and the width is about 5km. The overall distribution direction is approximately EW trend. The ength of ore body is 510~1873.5m, the thickness is 45.72~67.59m, and the maximum extension is about 200m. The content of diopside is generally 80%~98%. The content of Fe2O3 is generally 0.22%~0.31%, and the content of MnO+TiO2 is generally 0.02%~0.07%. The natural whiteness of the ore is 69.2%~87.9%, and the differential thermal analysis curve is a straight line with no endothermic and exothermic effects. The ore body is distributed in Dingguosi section of the early Proterozoic Jingshan group. Its production space is strictly controlled by the stratum. The ore-forming original rock is siliceous dolomite, which is a siliceous carbonate deposit in the shallow marine sedimentary environment. It is a medium-temperature and medium-pressure sedimentary metamorphic type deposit.
