Abstract:Based on hydrogeological survey with the scale of 1 : 50000, the boundary, recharge, discharge and storage, dynamic characteristics and present condition of groundwater resources in the southern mountain area in Zouping city have been identified. By using geophysical exploration methods, and combining with pumping test, the location of water rich fault and water rich target area with mining potential have been found out, and three water rich sections, such as Qingyang town, Xidong sub district office and Haosheng sub district office have been circled. The exploitation potential is evaluated according to hydrogeological characteristics of water rich areas. The water rich area delineated this time will provide rich natural water and groundwater resources for daily life, irrigation drinking water, industrial and urban (emergency) drinking water in the southern mountain area in Zouping city.
