Abstract:As a clean renewable geothermal resource, dry hot rock resource has been more and more maturely utilized because of its obviously increasing values. Based on fully study on the background of geological structure in Shandong province, through the field survey sampling and collection of geothermal parameter data, according to the method of extrapolating the shallow temperature data to the deep crust, the temperature in the depth range of 3~10km in different areas of Shandong province has been estimated. The volume method is used to estimate the geothermal resources of dry hot rock at the depth of 3~10km. It is showed that the total amount of dry heat source resources in the depth range of 3~10 km is 2.63×1023J, and is equal to 8.97×1012t. At present, the available dry hot rock resources are calculated as 2% of the recoverable resources, that is 1794.4×108t standard coal, which is about 37 times of the total energy consumption of the whole country. It has great potential value in development and utilization.
