Abstract:Huibaoling iron deposit is a hidden deposit and developed two main ore belts. The overall strike of the ore belts is 280°~290°. They are parallel and inclined to each other and show the structural characteristics of asymmetric syncline. The two ore belts contain five ore bodies in the north and south parts. The south part ore belt has a trend of gradually widening from west to east along the strike, while the north ore belt has a trend of shrinking and narrowing from west to east. The deposit occurs in Shancaoyu formation of Taishan group, and its occurrence is basically consistent with attitude of stratum. The overlying caprock is Qingbaikou to early Cambrian sedimentary strata. The surrounding rock of roof and floor of ore belt is biotite granulite or biotite hornblende schist. In order to summarize the genesis and ore controlling factors of Huibaoling iron mine, find out the resource prospect in the depth (more than 400m deep) of the mining area, and better guide the future prospecting direction, this study was carried out. Based on the comprehensive summary and analyze the previous achievements and prospecting methods of Huibaoling iron deposit, regional metallogenic law has been analyzed, the control law of the structure in the mining area on iron ore has been studied, the origin of the iron deposit has been studied, main prospecting indicators in the area have been determined, the exploration model has been established, and the prospecting direction has been pointed out.
