Abstract:3D geological model can visually display geological characteristics of gold deposits, which is more convenient and accurate in data extraction and analysis. It is convenient to study geological characteristics of gold deposits and deepen the understanding of metallogenic regularity. Xiadian-Jiangjiayao area is an important gold producing area in China. At present, the exploration depth of Xiadian-Jiangjiayao gold deposit has exceeded 2000m. According to high exploration degree and rich geological data, it is easy to build a 3D geological model. In this paper, 3D spatial characteristics of gold deposit have been analyzed based on 3D geological model of Xiadian-Jiangjiayao gold deposit which is established with data from more than 200 drillholes. Through analysis on 3D perspective model, it is found that main ore bodies of the deposits which are explored and exploited as several independent gold deposits in the past are connected deep down and constitute a giant gold deposit. 3D distribution of grade × thickness of the ore bodies shows that there are two enriched mineralization areas. The morphology of the main fault changes greatly in three dimensional space, and the area with structural occurrence changes is the enrichment area of the ore bodies. It is showed that the mineralization enrichment area is consistent with the change of fault dip angle, and the ore bodies are mainly concentrated in the area where the fault has a gentle dip angle. It is believed that the exploration of three dimensional morphology of the deep structures can effectively guide the deep prospecting.
