Abstract:Wangjiazhuang copper deposit and Beilou copper deposit are located in Zouping volcanic basin. This area is an important copper deposit in Shandong province. Based on previous geological work data in this area, geological characteristics of Wangjiazhuang copper deposit and Beilou copper deposit have been analyzed in detail. Characteristics of orebearing rocks, surrounding rocks, ore body size, morphology and occurrence have been studied, and the metal minerals and ore types have been analyzed. The metallogenic stages and the metallogenic conditions of Wangjiazhuang and Beilou copper deposits have been studied. Through research data, It is found that Zouping volcanic rock has mainly experienced three eruptions and intrusion activities, and the spatial distribution position is divided into three metallogenic belts: outer metallogenic belt, middle metallogenic belt and inner metallogenic belt. It is regarded that Wangjiazhuang and Beilou copper deposits are formed in late magmatic activity and are located in the inner metallogenic belt. Comparing with petrochemical characteristics of orebearing bodies of different porphyry copper deposits in China, it is found that Wangjiazhuang rock body and Beilou rock body are favorable areas for forming porphyry copper deposits. The mineralization alteration signs of Wangjiazhuang and Beilou copper deposits are studied. The alteration is mainly composed of potash, potash silicification, and silicification. It is pointed out that potassiumization of intrusive rockslatent volcanic rocks in the study area is an important alteration sign of copper and sulfur enrichment.
