Abstract:Taking the southern part of Zhaoping fault belt as the research object, by using geology, gravity, magnetic and magnetotelluric data of Zhaoping fault belt, the gravity and magnetic characteristics and the physical properties of rocks in the study area have been summarized comprehensively. By selecting five typical sections in the north of the study area, the controlled source audio frequency magnetotelluric sounding (CSAMT) is carried out. The metallogenic conditions and prospecting prospects in the north of the study aera has been identified furthurly. According to the CSAMT data, the deep extension and variation of the southern Zhaoping fault belt have been inverted and conducted. It is speculated that brittle fault is the key factor for gold ore prospecting in southern Zhaoping fault belt.Eight favorable metallogenic areas have been circled on the measured section. It is regarded that the northern part of the study area has good metallogenic conditions and prospecting potential.
