Abstract:The formation of tungsten deposit in Southern Cross mining area is closely related to Neoarchean intermediateacid intrusive rock and Archean greenstone. The tungsten ore body is mainly controlled by embrittlement ductile structural zone F1 with the trend of EW/ It has multistage and multistage properties. The tungsten deposit mainly occurs in the sericite diorite and quartz vein below 60m of tectonic contact surface between the gnedlike granodiorite and buwayo group. It is controlled by the F1 brittleductile shear tectonic zone and belongs to the sericite granodiorite type tungsten deposit and quartz vein type tungsten deposit. The formation of tungsten ore body are mainly divided into two stages (three times), namely the main metallogenic stage (Ⅰ period) and weak metallogenic stage (Ⅱperiod.Ⅲ period). The main materials of tungsten elements come from the granodiorite in the area, and the Archean Bulavayo group. The alteration development of surrounding rock is closely related to tungsten mineralization, such as silicification, sericite, chlorite and pyrite.
