Abstract:Aretekeshan molybdenum deposit is a porphyry molybdenum deposit newly discovered in the east of the northern Qaidam metallogenic belt in recent years. In this paper, through analysis and study on its metallogenic geological background, ore body and ore characteristics, the U-Pb isotope dating of zircon, the characteristics and formation age of ore-forming body are emphatically studied. It is determined that geological age is late Early Triassic to the early Middle Triassic. The intrusive age is Indosinian, and the ore-forming age of ore-forming body is basically the same as that of molybdenite. The origin of the formation process of the deposit have been summarized and analyzed, the influence of tectonism on the mineralization has been clarified. It will provide the basis for geological prospecting and theoretical research in this area in the future.
