Abstract:In order to evaluate the potential of oil shale resources in Yaozhuang area of Tailai depression, drilling of six geological wells, twodimensional seismic exploration and sample analysis and testing of several oil shale have been carried out. According to the analysis and test data of oil shale, combining with the research results of logging, seismic and sedimentation, main characteristics of oil shale have been summarized, and the origin of oil shale in this area has been preliminarily analyzed. As showed by the results, oil shale in Yaozhuang area in Tailai depression mainly developed in the lacustrine facies deposition in middle sedimentary period of Dawenkou group. The strata of oil shale in the middle section of Dawenkou formation is consistent with the attitude of the occurrence of strata. The trend is 277°, the inclination is 7°, the dip angle is 4°~5°, the buried depth of the roof is 108.40m, the buried depth of the floor is 272.06 m, the thickness is 0.80~2.29m, the average rock density is 1.90t/m3, the oil content is 3.12%~4.07%, and the average oil rate is 3.48%.
