Abstract:Through comprehensive comparison of shallow seismic profile data with 172km high resolution and six geological drillings, the seafloor sediments in Dingzi Bay can be divided into four reflection interfaces (D0, D1, D2 and D3) and three units(SU1, SU2 and SU3) from top to the bottom . In this paper, the buried depth, distribution and characteristics of each sedimentary unit have been summarized. According to the sea level position and its rising and falling trend when each unit was formed, transgressive system tract, lowstand system tract and highstand system tract are divided, corresponding to littoral facies, continental?facies and littoral facies. Shallow stratigraphic structure and sedimentary characteristics near the shore of Dingziwan Bay have been identified. It can provide geological basis for development planning and marine engineering construction in the area.
