Abstract:Rizhao coastal area is located on both sides of RizhaoQingdao fault. Faults and structures are well developed in the area, and thermal geological conditions are good. In order to fully identify the characteristics of geothermal resources in Rizhao coastal area, two geothermal anomaly zones are determined by means of shallow geothermal survey, geophysical prospecting and thermometry holes in the east of Sanzhushan village in Rizhao Street and XujiapingWanjiaping area in Nanhu town. Then conceptual models of thermal storage are established and studied respectively. Thermal storage method is used to analyze the two zones. The quantity of geothermal resources is evaluated. Shallow geothermal measurements show that the burial depth of the regional isothermal zone is generally 17.84~26.15m, the average temperature of the isothermal zone is 15.39℃, and the average geothermal gradient value is 1.46 ℃/100m. The conceptual model of thermal storage shows that the groundwater is heated by deep heat sources, the temperature rises, and forms stagnation in the intersection area of structures, and karst filters with surrounding rocks. Geothermal fluids with higher temperature and minerals are eventually transported to the surface along the fracture zone, forming geothermal anomaly areas. The results of thermal storage method show that the geothermal resources in Sanzhu Mountain area are 3.07×1015J, the available geothermal resources are 2.46×1014J, the South Lake area is 3.85×1015J, and the available geothermal resources are 3.08×1014J. It provides a direction for the exploration of geothermal resources in Rizhao coastal areas and a reference value for the study of "faultcontrolled" geothermal resources in China.
