Abstract:In recent years, great progresses have been made in prospecting prediction and scientific research of skarn type iron deposits in Qihe—Yucheng area in Shandong province. Based on the study of geology, geophysical field and metallogenic regularity in study area, anomaly verification work have been carried out on the favorable metallogenic positions of Litun secondary magnetic anomaly, Dazhang secondary magnetic anomaly and Pandian secondary magnetic anomaly. The skarn type iron deposits with large thickness, high grade and concentrated distribution have been discovered successively. It will provide the data basis and exploration experience for studying geological characteristics, geophysical anomalies and iron ore metallogenic regularities of the area systematically. Through analyzing regional geological characteristics, geological and geophysical characteristics of the mine and characteristics of iron deposits, the ore-controlling factors of skarn type iron deposits and the transformation of iron deposits by tectonic movements in the late metallogenic period in this area have been studied. On the basis of prospecting and prediction theory in "metallogenic geological body, metallogenic structure, characteristics of metallogenesis ", a prospecting and prediction geological model has been established, including metallogenic geological background, metallogenic geological body, metallogenic structure, characteristics of metallogenesis and geophysical characteristics. Key geological problems which need to be solved in iron ore prospecting work in the study area have been put forward in order to promote the prospecting of skarn type iron deposit in relevant areas in the future.
