Abstract:IP intermediate gradient is an effective geophysical prospecting method for finding metal sulfide enrichment. The application of induced medium elevator survey in gold prospecting in Naomuhun Goukou area has been interpretated. By choosing suitable locations in the area to carry out Ip intermediate gradient and data interpretation, five IP anomaly target areas have been delineated and verified by prospecting engineering, and good results of anomaly interpretation have been obtained. The study area is divided into two mineralization alteration zones and nine gold ore bodies by the combination of IP intermediate gradient and prospecting engineering. The gold ore types are pyritization and galena mineralization cataclastic rock type. The gold grade of Ⅱ5 ore body is (3.935.31) ×106, and average grade is 4.92×106. Pyritization, chalcopyrite mineralization, galena mineralization and sphalerite mineralization are main ore bodies. The gold ore bodies mainly occur in the structure with the trend of NW. Gold is closely related to metal sulfides in altered fracture zones. Therefore, it is considered that the exploration of gold deposits in this area can delineate the IP anomaly by using IP medium elevator survey, and gained good prospecting effect.
