Abstract:Zharagbolezhuo iron deposit in Sonid Left Banner is located in the central part of Inner Mongolia. It is located in Kaba-Honggelmiao iron metallogenic belt, and has favorable metallogenic geological conditions. The iron deposits in this area are mainly Haerhada formation in the upper part of Wenduermiao group of Jixian period. The Wenduermiao type limonite deposits developed in this area belong to sedimentary metamorphic type and are the focus of iron ore exploration in the past. In addition to the above-mentioned types of iron deposits, magnetite bodies of industrial significance develope in the Carboniferous metagabbros which are widely distributed in the mining area and the surrounding areas. The genesis of the deposit is magmatic dissociation type. Therefore, iron ore prospecting in the future in this area should be paid more attention to sedimentary metamorphic iron deposits and later magmatic melting iron deposits.
