Abstract:Accompanying with the accelerated process of industrialization, urbanization, agricultural modernization and information technology in China, the scale of resources and environment in our country will be widened furthurly. The intensity of economic and social activities will be higher, and the contradictions and conflicts between population, resources and environment will inevitably become increasingly fierce. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the evaluation of carrying capacity of resources and environment. Taking Rongcheng city as the research object, the evaluation index system of resources and environment carrying capacity has been established. Based on GIS technology, the spatialization of attribute data have been realized, and the indexes have been calculated, and the bearing capacity of resources and environment in Rongcheng has been analyzed. Based on the evaluation of carrying capacity of resources and environment, the land layout of Rongcheng city has been optimized by township, and comprehensive zoning has been formed. The conclusion shows that the basic evaluation of resources and environment in Rongcheng is loadable, and the comprehensive bearing state based on the water resource system is critical, and the comprehensive bearing state based on the ecological conditions and environmental quality system has been determined to be loaded. Based on the evaluation results and regional characteristics, the towns of Rongcheng can guide development in four directions: emerging industry, manufacturing industry, service industry, ecotourism, ecological agriculture and ecological forestry.
