Abstract:The harm,causes of the goaf, the characteristics and the concept of controlled source audio frequency magnetotelluric method have been introduced in this paper. The normal strata and geophysical characteristics of goaf have been analyzed comprehensively. Through numerical simulation maps, apparent resistivity characteristics of goaf has been illustrated. Based on application of controlled source audio frequency magnetotelluric method in Hegang coal mine in Jining city and Zuozhuang gypsum mine goaf in Pingyi county, comparing the differences between pseudo cross section diagram of apparent resistivity in complete strata and in mined out region, the electrical response condition has been gained, and the scope characteristics has been analyzed comprehensively. It is proved that the controlled source magnetotelluric method has a good detection effect in the detection of mined out area.
