Abstract:Cluster analysis and factor analysis can be used to obtain the geochemical characteristics of soil elements and their differences. The surface soil sample data of Qingzhou city is analyzed and studied. By cluster analysis, the clustering pedigree chart of surface soil elements is drawn. The 23 elements or indexes are divided into 5 elements clusters and 2 single element clusters. The combination characteristics of each element have been studied, and their correlation, aggregation and indication significance have been discussed. Through factor analysis, representative factors have been found and used as the representative variables, typical factor score contour map has been drawn, and the factors which will casue different regional distribution of the combination of different elements have been analyzed. The distribution characteristics of 11 representative factors can basically represent the distribution characteristics of 23 original variables in the surface soil in Qingzhou city. Geological interpretation of F1, F2, F3 factors has been carried out. The combination of cluster analysis and factor analysis is beneficial to the study of the characteristics and differences of symbiotic combination of elements in the surface soil, which is beneficial to the summary of the surface soil anomalies in the study area.
