Abstract:The northeastern margin of Jiaolai basin is an important gold mineralization area in eastern Shandong. Songjiagou gold deposit is a typical altered conglomerate type deposit. It is believed that the formation and distribution of this deposit are restricted and controlled by basin and margin fractures. The gold ore bodies are distributed in a diagonal way, and are concentrated in groups and belts. The ore bodies are of different sizes, and the grade, thickness and occurrence of gold deposits vary greatly. Yazi fault is the ore conducting structure of the gold deposit, and the deposit belongs to medium temperature hydrothermal vein type. Jingshan group and Laiyang group are the source bed of gold ores. The secondary fault with the trend of NE derived from the faults in the margin of the basin strictly controls the output of gold ore bodies, and the deposit is due to the medium warm hydrothermal vein type. Through study on geological characterisitcs of the deposit, ore characteristics, characteristics of gold deposits and the origin of the deposit and the summary of ore prospecting markers, the prospecting direction is pointed out in this area. It is believed that the edge of the basin has great potential for prospecting in the margin of the basin and in the secondary fault development region. It has a certain guiding significance for the prospecting ores in the marginal area of Mesozoic basin.
