Abstract:Since 2013, in order to correctly handle the relationship between spring protection and good quality groundwater for drinking, series of works for transferring surface water to groundwater have been carried out in Jinan city. Groundwater should be explored under the premise of protecting springs. The projection of transferring surface water to groundwater in Daxinhe river is an important part of the work. In order to identify the recharge direction and runoff velocity of Daxinhe river after the leakage recharge, tracer test has been carried out in main seepage sections of this river. It is showed that the groundwater will flow from south to north along leakage section—Long'ao Building—Aoti compression station in eatern district of Ji'nan—Xianwen district—after seepage and recharge. The runoff speed is about 45m/d, and the flow becomes slower in both sides. It is showed that the project of transferring surface water to groundwater of Daxinhe river will mainly supply water to water source in eastern urban areas in Ji'nan city, while water supply to four sprins is weak. Trace test has an important role in guiding the transfer of surface water groundwater project, and has important significance for rational planning of post mining layout management, promote spring protection and water supply in Jinan city.
