Abstract:Accompanying with large scale development and utilization of mineral resources, geological environment has been becoming more and more worse. Geological environmental protection of mines is very urgent. But the traditional technology for surveying geological environment of mines has become weak. In this paper, setting geological survey of mines in Jinan city as an example, the method of geological environment investigation based on 3D GIS has been put forward. By using highperformance spatial data engine of 3D GIS technology, integrating intuitive visualization technology and powerful spatial analysis ability, the aerial image data, the DEM data, the tilted photographic data and the monitoring plots data over the years, real 3D geomorphology of the aerial survey area has been reconstructed. Combining with mining information, the extraction and topology processing of present condition of mineral exploration have been carried out, It will identify the condition of geological environment damage and geological hazards effectively, monitor geological environment of mines, strengthen the monitoring and management of key mining areas, and promote geological environment protection in Jinan city.
