Abstract:The area of Jurassic mountain basin in Hongliudaquan of Ejinaqi in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is more than 2400km2. Coal accumulation occurred in the edge of the basin. The coal reserves is predicted of 2 billion tons. According to drilling and logging data, it is regarded that the thickness change of main coal strata (No.4 coal stratum) of Longfeng Mountain group has the trend thin in the east and thick in the west, thin in the south and thick in the north in western area;while thin in the north and thick in the south eastern area. No.4 coal stratum is flame coal with high volatile, low sulfur, high calorific value and medium ash. Ash content significantly reduce along the edge to center of the basin. The tar yield has increased obviously along the western edge to the center of basin. The direction of coal exploitation and utilization is coal for power fuel and civil coals. The spontaneous combustion tendency of main coal strata is easy to spontaneous combustion. We should do a good job of preventing and extinguishing fires.
