Abstract:In the past, two methods are generally used to collect geochemical samples, one is GPS handhelds, combining with topographic maps for field sampling; the other is "handheld" mobile terminal for field fixed-point collection. In this paper, a method which will realize sample collection by using the smart phone has been introduced. It will download Google Earth image map as a working base map with the help of omap mobile client. After using GPS parameters for deviation correction, the design points and Fangli network will be led into the software. Then the navigation point sampling will be carried out like car navigation system. This method is simple and effective. It does not need to rely on the topographic map. Thus, the efficiency for finding the points in the field will be improved, and the fixed point error will be less than 3m. It is also easy to widen the application scope.
