Abstract:Chagancilao gold deposit located in Urad Zhongqi, Inner Mongolia. It is a magmatic hydrothermal type gold deposit. With discussion on the characteristics of strata, structures and magmatic rocks in Chagancilao gold deposit, geological characteristics have been introduced in detail. Through study on geological characteristics, orecontrolling factors and origin of Chagancilao gold deposit, it is regarded that main type gold mineralization is gold-bearing quartz vein type, accompanying with cataclastic altered rock type. Gold ore bodies occur in Permian plagioclase granite and quartz vein, ataclastic rock and mylonite in Silurian alteration diorite. Its occurrence, morphology and size are strictly controlled by the fracture tectonic zone with the trend of NW without tectonic effects. In this paper, tectonic background and the material sources of Chagancilao gold ore deposit have been studied. The metallogenic model of Chagancilao gold deposit has been determined. It has some guiding significance for gold metallogenic prognosis by using the model.
