Abstract:In order to study deep structures and heat source conditions in Guoyang area, magnetotelluric sounding (MT) and soil radon measurement have been carried out in Gaolu town. Through analysis and interpretation of magnetotelluric sounding and soil radon concentration anomaly distribution, geothermal exploration work in this area has been carried out. Through data interpretation, direction of the structures in this area, its vertical extension characteristics and the changes of basement relief have been identified, and the controlled ovarian have been understood, and favorable areas of geothermal forming have been predicted. it is showed that it has good guiding for determing the locations of buried faults and geothermal anomaly by using MT and soil radon measurement.
