Abstract:Yizhao coal mine is located in middle and western Yili basin, and coal reserves is 36 billions tons. Coal-bearing strata are Xishanyao formation in Jurassic Shuixigou group. It contains 12 layers of coal seam, among them, six layers are mining coal strata. No. 3 and No.5 coal layers are primary mineable coal beds. Through study on characteristics of each coal seam, characteristics and occurrence regularity of coal seams, characteristics of coal quality and the direction of industry utilization have been summarized. It has a positive significance for guiding the exploration, development and utilization and layout of production of coal resource in Yili basin.
