No.171 ore vein in Dongfeng deposit in Linglong gold field is located in southeast part of the famous Linglong gold mine in northwestern Jiaodong, and controlled by Potouqing fault belt with the trend of NNE. The ore vein, ore body shape, occurrence and the fault belt are basically the same. The alteration zoning of the rocks is evident. The ore bodies are mainly distributed in the footwall of the fault belt, and showed as bedded and big vein form. It showed as little undulatory forms along the trend and had compound characteristics in partial area. The change of thickness of ore bodies is stable. The useful components distributed uniformly. The ore types include pyritized phyllite and pyritized phyllite cataclastic rocks. As showed by the research, magmatic activities in late Yanshan period of Mesozoic provided the heat source and space location for mineralization. The ore-forming metals have the characteristics of mixed types of crust-mantle. The ore-forming fluids mainly came from the mantle and mixed with meteoric water and magma water. It is a middle temperature hydrothermal gold deposit.
